Here we go again?

Well I'm entering that phase of blog writing that always happens to me. That is the phase where my attention turns to something different. I am now moving up to New York City for a couple months at least try to work a temp job and see New York City.  I like to travel and I love New York City so I will travel and work for a while. Will I forget my blog?
In the excitement of being in Manhattan again will I just forget to post to my blog or will I post more because I'm discovering new things in Manhattan after 25 long years of being away. I don't know but we'll see :-)

Mad Men Marathon

Have just been watching Mad Men on Netflix and find it quite interesting to see the contrast of our lives between the 60s and the present time. of course there's not many black people in it and I was trying to think of a show that would tell the subtext of Mad Men and I thought of the Corrina Corrina, where she tries to write copy but instead is relegated to being a maid that is one of my favorite Whoopi Goldberg movies.

my First 2 hours on my new Blogging job

Well I woke up around 1 AM this morning and I made up my mind that two hours every morning before getting into the day I would spend time on my new blogging job. now I got this inspiration from the Christian guy I wrote about in the previous comment. So this morning I checked my credit card to make sure I had enough money to make the hosting and domain purchases and I didn't so I made an extra payment. now it's a couple hours later I've done some reading and I've fulfilled my obligation.
It is now 3 AM and I must get back to bed . I don't want to get burned out on this blogging thing and then quit as I have five or six times before so Im going to devote myself to my regular life during the day. I've got to travel to New York City and start looking for a real job.

Money Help For Christians -MH4C he calls it

I like this guy this Christian guy who is making money blogging he's much more realistic about blogging because he actually works a full-time job while he's blogging. he talks about being patient and he tells that it's taken him to a years to achieve 50% of his full-time income blogging. he tells that he made nary a penny in his first six months. I like the fact that he chose subjects that anybody could see are lucrative but he added his own spin to them. Indeed I read early on in my investigation of blogging that travel, health, law, making money, and one more thing (i forget) are the five most lucrative areas for blogging.

I made my first comment!

I went to the search engine being and I put in make Money blogging for beginners the first site, was from a blogger who has a website called money help for Christian and the that comes up is about how he makes money blogging it took him 2 years to actually start making any money blogging. he started in 2010 and now he makes 50% of his full-time income blogging.
I like the fact that he works on a passion he has as a Christian.
What I like about this guy is that he is obviously blogging in a very lucrative niche but he has put his own personal stamp on it. I'm pretty sure budgeting, finances and making and saving money are very big and lucrative niches but he is doing it in the sense of being a Christian and you don't see a lot of that on the web.

Hiring help

I have surveyed the blogging for money landscape and from what I can see making money from a blog is probably becoming more and more difficult and more and more work. It appears that doing the backlinking and the commenting and publicizing a blog either takes a huge amount of work or huge amount of money and if you have a job obviously you have to have time to constantly comments on blogs.   the only solution I see, is to hire people from India or the Philippines to do that for you.
Finding a small noncompetitive micro niche and then exploiting it with a small website has probably been done over and over again and besides it's not as much fun as just putting your own self on a blog nobody can compete with that.
But the blog still has to be focused what is it going to be about what being entrepreneurial black girl of course! As a feminist I should not be calling myself a girl. Okay, entrepreneurial black woman, then.

Vomit

The problem is, that writing and writing anything that comes to mind is just what Ed Dale said it is: vomit. And nobody wants to read vomit. I think he got that word from Stephen King or some other author he was reading but it's true it's just a bunch of jumbled up thoughts about politics and economics and products i like  and et cetera. There's no real focus. I am the only one that will want to read it. Editing. Itturns out that editing is at least as important as writing. And editing is hard work and not anywhere near as exciting as writing. But it must be done. And it must be done by me. Unless of course I hire content writers and edit their work.

juice fasting

Another subject I would love to write about is living without health insurance how to stay healthy using natural and alternative health remedies especially if you don't have insurance now juice fasting is something I've just discovered a movie called fat sick and nearly dead.

100 cool places in New York

How's this for a topic? i'll be moving back to New York after 25 years and i want to explore all the places i remember and new places, just for fun and history.

Exploring the 30 day challenge

I am watching the videos to see what they entail. i like to know what i am getting into. I must say that one great thing i see they have is:
TEAMS! Since my university days i have heard how important it is to work on a team. this series of videos looks like it will be very interesting.
I was thinking of just developing a website on a subject i like. But this product seems to be emphasizing the importance of doing market research on keywords. Long tail keywords, which i believe are just more specific descriptions of what people are looking for.
I am in one of those ADD phases where i get quite intensely interested in a particular subject. This is usually followed by a phase where i lose interest and spend a few days or weeks browsing the internet or watching TV, and then light on another subject in which i become intensely interested again.
Jon calls it my merry-go-round of ideas :-)
I have been doing this my whole life, and once in a while i jump in, such as the time i went out and bought a camper van, a Roadtrek, to be specific. Now, that was an adventure.

30 day challenge-valuable nugget i have yet to ingrain in my head

The 30 day challenge seems to be very very popular in terms of teaching people how to make money online now I plan to attend the webinar and 10 AM they say they have stopped doing the 30 day challenge live but you can still access the training the main point I've learned since perusing the materials is that they emphasized testing the market before you monetize your blog doing keyword research and then building a website then testing then back linking it building it up testing it then monetize.

this is SO IMPORTANT, i now believe.
I can't tell you the number of websites and blogs i have started that did absolutely nothing. I didnt do any market research first, i just figured if i had an interest, then others would.
There was
1. selling african-american t-shirts. Cartess Ross convinced me to do this one. Spent about 1000 or 2000 dollars, getting a printer, heat press, t-shirt web site, and then getting Photoshop, etc to make the pictures, then making samples for family and Mom's church. Never a sale
2. Resume writing site.
3. 2 making money online blogs, an old wordpress one, and now this one.
4. various others i cant think of now.
5. Squidoo on making my 50/day? online.

i never did market research to see if others were making money in these things, i just rammed ahead.

One subject that I love.

One of the things I love to read about and will probably love writing about is travel I have traveled to some areas such as Northern Virginia and Austin Texas and Seattle Washington and Washington DC and New York City and I live in central Florida there are many many beautiful sights within these areas that I would love to write about. I would also love to write about many of the wonderful hotels of stating and the problems also. I  was born in the Caribbean another beautiful area to travel. I've traveled through the beautiful country of Belize also and I found traveling to be an uplifting almost spiritual experience. Well, not almost, yes a spiritual experience. Standing on the beach in Antigua in the Caribbean or standing on a pyramid in Belize and letting the breeze brush across my face. These have been some really beautiful and spiritual experiences.

Topics that might make money

so I started to take this thing seriously. I watched some videos on YouTube. Two that I like are Lisa3876 and simplesites. Just go to YouTube and do a search for make money blogging and they will soon come to the top. I also read some advice from a guy named problogger who seems to be very famous as a blogger and I'm learning more and more now about how you make money with a blog.
It's soon becomes obvious from listening to these people that this blog that I am writing will never make money. I jump from thing to thing. I think this blog is just going to keep track of all the different things I jumped from and to, and how I manage to refine my ideas down to a website that can be niched to appeal to a certain subsection of people that are willing to pay for the products on it or are willing to pay me to come and speak about it or our willing to read a book that I write about it.

some topics dont make money from advertising like Adsense

http://www.copyblogger.com/no-money-blogging/

making money online by creating compelling content

A while ago my sister Genevieve said that she wanted to start a blog.  Well actually she said she wanted to start a website that would sell clocks. I of course being very very interested in making money online started to advise her.  I told her that it was a very important to get into the top search results on Google and it was also very important to sell a product that you have an interest in. I even referred her to handbags because I know she's a big aficionado of fancy handbags but she allowed as how everybody on the Internet was already selling handbags so she wanted to sell clocks.
I told her that the most important thing was to realize that you need to hire people to get you into the search results in Google because you need to create a lot of content. You can pay people to write articles for your blog on your website because you're not gonna be able to create all that much content yourself. After you pay some content creators to write articles  then you can edit this content yourself. I then realized that I had not followed this advice myself, since I have in the past tried to create blogs to make money but gave up rather quickly when I realized how tedious it would be to write and write and write for months about something and only then maybe start earning a few dollars a day from AdSense.

here's a good vid on my primary topic of late

thoughts on how i will focus on a niche

In trying to narrow down what I'll write about I know that there're certain things that interests me greatly travel politics money and telling things from a black woman's point of view especially from the Caribbean black woman's point of view.
I also have an interest in health especially trying to maintain your help without health insurance by using supplements vitamins and alternative healing methods.

So here's my strategy the article suggests starting a blog about something in which you have a long and deep interest something that you can be convinced to write about no matter what whether getting paid or not. I do have many and varied interests but I think my niche will be to write about things from the standpoint of being a black woman from the Caribbean.

lifestyles of the peripatetic and low-paid

i am low-paid because i am peripatetic.

These people are doing it!

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/26/technology/personaltech/26basics.html

You can see how some make a little some make a lot. Now, how can i find just one niche to focus on!

Politics

Here is an example of my many and varied interests for instance politics. I just heard that Romney may have paid for his votes to win the straw poll at the CPAC conference. Also Ron Paul that that ever Yeary trucks and people and they vote and then they leave. So this win by Romney today may be fake. After he said he was 'severely' conservative.

focus if you want $$$$

I have been told that in order to make money blogging your blog must be focused. But I have many and varied interests everything from documentary filmmaking to traveling to reading Jane Austen to the following politics so how can I focus my blog only on one thing. Well I'm going to have to if I want a blog that makes money. since this blog is just starting out this will be my equivalent of the junk drawer blog. I'll throw all my wanton and scattered ideas here, only to sort them out for actual moneymaking websites later.

make money blogging, but BEWARE ADSENSE

So I decided I would like to make money from blogging since I have a need to express myself anyway. I have been looking at the various ways people make money from blogging and one of their primary ways is Google AdSense. However I have also heard from many people that they just start making money and then AdSense somehow is disabled because Google accuses them of doing something bad. this goes to show it's best to have many different ways of making money from your blog.

whitney

Whitney Houston's death teaches us yet again that money can't buy you happiness. If money can't provide happiness then what does? Happiness comes from contentment with what ever you happen to have at the moment. Happiness comes from being satisfied with whoever you are at the moment and knowing that whatever you want to strive for will probably come to you with hard work and a little bit of luck.
